Twitch Streamers banned for violation of copyrighted music. The violation is against old music videos—the copyright claims under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. DMCA has sent account deactivation requests to Streamer’s accounts. Streamers who get three allegation notices may permanently ban their accounts. These allegations especially affect the videos from 2017-2019.

However, Amazon-owned services suggest streamers to takedown affected videos. But the issue is that only you can delete a limited amount. So the process may take a while.

Twitch Support has posted an update on twitter regarding the current situation. They recommend removing clips that are unsure of rights. Also, they promised to make this easier.

Some popular streamers also shared their opinion on social media. They said that the allegations are against past clips and aren’t happy with the situation.
