Shawn Mendes says that he’s so sorry to Sam Smith for misgendering them.
The 22-year-old Canadian singer introduced Sam Smith with the term ‘he’ at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball on December 10. But Shawn should have used the term ‘them’ instead of ‘he’.

However Mendes says sorry to the ‘Love Goes’ hitmaker for his mistake, wrote an apology statement on Instagram Stories on December 11. “Oh @samsmith I’m so sorry for referring to you as a ‘he’ for your jingle ball introduction,” Mendes wrote.
Sam Smith also reposted Shawn’s story by replying to it. “We’re all learning together,” the singer replied.
