Former Ozzy Osbourne drummer Lee Kerslake died after fighting prostate cancer. The drummer who also a bandmate of the rock band Uriah Heep dies at the age of 73.
As the former Ozzy Osbourne drummer, he did 2 albums with the Ozzy Osbourne and it was the first two. The two albums Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman bought huge issues due to royalty and credit. So the court ordered to remove the two albums and they re-recorded it.
However, the death of the drummer has been confirmed by his Uriah Heep bandmate Ken Hensley. In a statement, he said: “It’s with the heaviest of hearts that I share with you that Lee Kerslake, my friend of 55 years and the best drummer I ever played with, lost his battle with cancer at 03:30 this morning. He died peacefully, praise The Lord, but he will be terribly missed.”
Another band member of Uriah Heep, the guitarist Mick Box also wrote his condolence on Facebook. He wrote, “Lee was one of the kindest men on earth, as well as being a brother he was an incredible drummer, singer and songwriter! He had a passion for life bar none and was much loved by the fans, as well as anyone who crossed his path!”
