Was there an Earthquake at Eras show by Taylor Swift? Let’s find out.
Taylor Swift performed incredibly during the two days at Lumen Field on 22 and 23 July. The fans’ reactions to Taylor’s performance made the show go viral whole over the internet.
It has been reported that the audience went crazy and made seismic activity in the stadium. Many say that it’s similar to an earthquake. According to CNN, seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach has told them that the magnitude of the seismic activity was equivalent to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake. Earlier in a 2011 show a similar situation occurred, It’s called ‘Beast Quake’.
Dr Caplan-Auerbach, a geology professor at Western Washington University has observed the the two situations and told CNN the differences.
“I grabbed the data from both nights of the concert and quickly noticed they were clearly the same pattern of signals,” she said. “If I overlay them on top of each other, they’re nearly identical.”
