Dr. Dre’s classic HIp-Hop solo debut album(1992) The Chronic will now be inducted into the National Recording Registry. The album will head into the registry along with the Mister Rogers Neighborhood album, Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” and Tina Turner’s “Private Dancer.”
while coronavirus measures keeping the country indoors, this year’s induction was dubbed the Stay at Home Playlist. “The National Recording Registry is the evolving playlist of the American soundscape,” a press release reads. “It reflects moments in history captured through the voices and sounds of the time.”
