Former American Idol contestant Nikki McKibbin dies at 42.
Nikki McKibbin is an American rock singer and song writer, well-known from the reality show American Idol in 2002. The 42 year old finished in the 3rd place of the reality show, one of the finalist. As a former American Idol finalist she released her debut album ‘ Unleashed,’ released on 2007.

According to her husband, the singer suffered from an Intracranial aneurysm on Wednesday, also called a brain aneurysm. Her husband, Craig Sadler confirmed the death of Nikki McKibbin through Facebook. “She would already be gone, but she’s an organ donor and has been kept on life support to make that possible. That shouldn’t be a surprise to us. Even at the end she is still giving,” the husband said.
Nikki McKibbin is also the mother of a son, ‘Tristen Cole Langley‘. According to the New York Times, her son said: “We just want the world to know, out of all the wonderful things she was, the most important thing to us is that she was an extraordinary wife, the most amazing mother a son could ever ask for, and an angel of a grandmother.”
The New York Times also wrote a message on Twitter. They wrote: “Nikki McKibbin, a singer-songwriter from Texas best known for her third-place finish on the inaugural season of “American Idol,” died on Sunday. She was 42.”
